Show Notes:

READ BOOK A DAY, DONE THIS FOR 27 YRS (LESSONS LEARNED)

  • ”If I’m a disciplined person then I have more freedom in my life.” More discipline more freedom.
  • The more you read a book a day in the morning helps you work out your mind muscles. It allows you to have a fresh idea every day.
  • Read books that interest you.

(7 ARCHETYPES) THERE IS A GAP IN EVERY LEADERSHIP STYLE, DISCOVER IT

  • ·When you read a book a day you will find out what are people writing about and most books talks about how we should do things when we should that in our business and for Lolly, there is a gap.
  • The foundation element of true success for any human being that is looking for life purpose, is you have to figure out who you are before you could do the how, the when, the where and the why.
  • Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl- if people can find meaning on the sufferings and problem they go through it would give them purpose.
  • Joseph Campbell thought me about the stories that we tell ourselves and how within ourselves the darkest parts is where we find treasure.
  •  Carl Gustav Jung thought me that there are archetypes within us. We have triggers within us and we need both, the dark and the light. We need the good and we need the bad.
  • We need failure and we need success in order to be a whole person.
  •  7 ARCHETYPES of leadership styles- the rebel, the explorer, the truth teller, the hero, the inventor, the navigator and the knight.
  • The rebel is someone who is very passionate about an idea and a cause, in able to do that they need to use the characteristics of their confidence.
  • Confidence comes from your capabilities plus your competence, meaning what you are really good at and what you really mastered that gives you inner confidence to be able to succeed.
  • Confidence is believing you are able while competence is knowing you are able.
  • Once you know you are able then you can master anything.
  • The gap is that sometimes we feel we are the imposter who has self-doubt it can cause you to be that rebel who wants to do something magnificent.
  • This model is situational and it’s not about that we lean into one.
  • Before any interaction always ask yourself, “If I want to unleash my greatness, which archetype do I need to be?”.

GREATNESS IS AVAILABLE FOR EVERYONE

  • Measure who you are and what you do by your own metrics.
  • Don’t compare yourself to others instead always do better than yourself.
  • Greatness lies within you, you just have to choose it.
  • If we want it, we have to take responsibility for ourselves.
  • Greatness is about unleashing the best version of who you are.

Quotes:

  • Instead of being a fixer, learn to be a navigator.
  • Confidence is believing you are able while competence is knowing you are able.
  • Greatness lies within you, you just have to choose it.
  •  Greatness is about unleashing the best version of who you are.
