Keep Your Inner Circle Thriving
On February 26, 2010, Susan Mazza and I will be facilitating a powerful workshop called Cultivating Your Inner Circle For Success. In the past few weeks I have received an enormous amount of emails asking me what does it take to Cultivate Your Inner Circle For Success?
So today, I want to take the time to discuss just one powerful way to keep your current Inner Circle strong, empowering your mutual success. Cultivating your Inner Circle for Success begins with being mindful of the needs and commitments of the people you care most about. You must have your attention on supporting those in your inner circle in thriving as individuals through their relationship with you.
We are all human with fragile, foibles, and insecurities. We each need to be appreciated for the uniqueness that makes us who we are. We also need to feel appreciated.
One of the most powerful ways of maintaining a thriving Inner Circle is to tell the people in your Inner Circle often just how much you appreciate them and what you appreciate them for.
You can do this in both word and deed. Some ways you can express your appreciation are to remember occasions that are important to them and congratulate them on their achievements both big and small. Most important of all, let them know that you are there to support them whenever they need you.
To keep your Inner Circle thriving you need frequent expressions to remain connected.

Frustration
Frustration is wonderful (said with a grin) Frustration is not necessarily bad since it can be a useful indicator of the problems in a person’s life and, as a result, it can act as a motivator to change.
Life inevitably has its ups and downs — its moments of relaxation and times of tension. You need to learn to distinguish between what you hope will happen, what will probably happen, and what actually happened. You can let frustration sink down to the tombs of resentment and keep it in the dark recesses of our shadows, or you can use the energy to manage the frustration in order to allow you to remain happy and positive even in trying circumstances.
The definition of frustrate is to prevent from accomplishing a purpose or a fulfilling a true desire. At the first sign of frustration, ask yourself what you could do to use the raw energy in a creative way. There is always an answer. Sometimes we get frustrated because we are struggling to attain something we don’t really want, so we must identify what we truly want.

What Are You Thinking?
Someone once said, “There are no truths, there are only perceptions of truth.”
Whether or not you accept this statement, whatever you believe to be true will become your reality.
Your subconscious mind will believe anything you tell it-if you repeat the words often and with conviction.
When you are faced with a daunting task that you have never attempted before, focus on the potential of success, not the the possibilities for failure. Break the job down into smaller elements and tackle each one separately. The only difference between success and failure in any job is your attitude towards it.
Lead From Within: A positive mind finds a way it can be done. A negative mind looks for all the ways it can’t be done.

What Are You Attracting?
If you want to be a positive, successful person, be sure you choose your friends and business partners carefully. Positive friends and role models will have a positive effect upon you, while negative friends will soon kill your initiative.
Do not allow yourself to be lulled into complacency by the masses who believe mediocrity is an acceptable alternative.
Focus on the possibilities for success, not the potential for failure. When you doubt yourself, talk the situation over with a positive, supportive friend.
Everyone needs a boost now and again; make sure your friends are positive, success-oriented people who always build you up, not negative thinkers who always seem to find a way to tear you down.
Lead From Within: Your mental attitude determines what sort of friends and business partners you attract.

Be Ready To Fail
“Be ready to fail and fail over and over again in your life. That is way to succeed.” Michael Jordon
People Matter
Recognize that people matter.
We can often trace our greatest achievements and disappointments back to an individual who influenced our lives in some way. Our parents, spouses, partners, friends, colleagues, business associates, co-workers and neighbors all impact our lives.
The skills we develop and the people we choose to be part of our lives will have a profound significance. Choosing the right relationships and partnerships is a pivotal part of you being successful.
It would be very difficult to find anyone you would consider “successful” who didn’t benefit considerably from the relationships he or she formed. Your life isn’t a solo act. It is a series of collaborations and partnerships.
Thinking and interacting with others can provide you with new and powerful ideas. We need to be grateful to those who help us. If you want to reach your potential, you must choose the right people to bring into your life. Take time to reward the people around you who believe in you.
Who are the people in your life? What roles do they play? Are they empowering or dis-empowering you?
People matter, they are the destined part of every success story.
A Moment of Choice
A moment of choice, are the moments in our lives, when we choice consciously or unconsciously to make a choice that either accelerates or decelerates our lives.
Some of the choices we make will only impact us for the next couple of minutes, hours, days, some will change us forever.
Some of our choices will lead us straight to success. Some of our choices will bring us close to failure.
We can dwell on the past fears and failures or we can live in the present moment.
We can attempt to control the impossible or we can surrender to take action.
It is in the quality of these choices that will direct whether we struggle in frustration or lead an extraordinary life.
Whether we make this choice consciously or unconsciously. It is in those moments that we meet our greatest choice points. That is where the challenge lies.
We can pursue a path that reflects our conscious or unconscious, our best or the worst of ourselves. Ultimately, we are the ones choosing.
If you want to understand who and what we are today, all we have to do is look at our past choices. Look at the choices we made last week, last month, last year.
If you want to know what your future looks like, look towards the choices you are making today.
What you choose today will effect the future.
