Forgive Yourself

2

Because we are afraid to fail we often build a negative case against ourselves. We can become so discouraged that we lose our energy. Negativity seems to breed more negativity, and before long we stop worrying about failing because we have stopped trying to reach our goals. Then we stay in the safe middle ground. We are not afraid, but we always wonder what would have happened.

It is never to late to change negative thinking and forgive ourselves for our failures. We can start by looking for the good in ourselves. We can FOCUS on loving acts and thoughts and work through the ones that hurt us.

Lead From Within: You are the master of your life and while you cannot control all of the events in your life you can control your reaction to these events. So instead of dwelling on what you haven’t achieved, give yourself credit for what you have done and have been able to.

Call To Action: I suggest you grab a notepad and pen – then sit down and write all the good things that are going on in your life right now. List all the good things that you have. List all your positive qualities – things that you like about yourself. Then everyday – spend at least 20 minutes thinking about those things – and after a few weeks you’ll start to see things differently.

What Are You Thinking?

Picture 19Someone once said, “There are no truths, there are only perceptions of truth.”

Whether or not you accept this statement, whatever you believe to be true will become your reality.

Your subconscious mind will believe anything you tell it-if you repeat the words often and with conviction.

When you are faced with a daunting task that you have never attempted before, focus on the potential of success, not the the possibilities for failure. Break the job down into smaller elements and tackle each one separately. The only difference between success and failure in any job is your attitude towards it.

Lead From Within: A positive mind finds a way it can be done. A negative mind looks for all the ways it can’t be done.

People Matter

People Matter

Recognize that people matter.

We can often trace our greatest achievements and disappointments back to an individual who influenced our lives in some way.  Our parents, spouses, partners, friends, colleagues, business associates, co-workers and neighbors all impact our lives.

The skills we develop and the people we choose to be part of our lives will have a profound significance. Choosing the right relationships and partnerships is a pivotal part of you being successful.

It would be very difficult to find anyone you would consider “successful” who didn’t benefit considerably from the relationships he or she formed. Your life isn’t a solo act. It is a series of collaborations and partnerships.

Thinking and interacting with others can provide you with new and powerful ideas. We need to be grateful to those who help us. If you want to reach your potential, you must choose the right people to bring into your life. Take time to reward the people around you who believe in you.

Who are the people in your life?  What roles do they play?  Are they empowering or dis-empowering you?

People matter, they are the destined part of every success story.

A Moment of Choice

A Moment of Choice

6

A moment of choice, are the moments in our lives, when we choice consciously or unconsciously to make a choice that either accelerates or decelerates our lives.

Some of the choices we make will only impact us for the next couple of minutes, hours, days, some will change us forever.

Some of our choices will lead us straight to success. Some of our choices will bring us close to failure.

We can dwell on the past fears and failures or we can live in the present moment.

We can attempt to control the impossible or we can surrender to take action.

It is in the quality of these choices that will direct whether we struggle in frustration or lead an extraordinary life.

Whether we make this choice consciously  or unconsciously. It is in those moments that we meet our greatest choice points. That is where the challenge lies.

We can pursue a path that reflects our conscious or unconscious, our best or the worst of ourselves. Ultimately, we are the ones choosing.

If you want to understand who and what we are today, all we have to do is look at our past choices. Look at the choices we made last week, last month, last year.

If you want to know what your future looks like, look towards the choices you are making today.

What you choose today will effect the future.
